I was just thinking of you guys--I have been shooting some small projects lately and using the Spider, which has been lying dormant for a few years.

Last weekend I shot a teaser trailer for a project I'm directing shortly that was a great use of the system:

As you can see the story section is cut as if one continuous camera move, which was obviously the same move shot over and over (poor man's motion control). I had my grip pushing the base to a click track and hash marks on the floor to maintain speed. I chose the Flextrak and spider specifically because the actors would have to play across it and with the emotion in the scene, I was concerned about them tripping over the crossmembers on standard track. I used the rigid channels and taped them to the floor. It worked out great, there was very little variation in the frame from the first take to the last!
